ThermaSheet can be installed under tile, shingles, metal and most low slope membrane roof systems.
Yes, ThermaSheet will decrease the heat in attic spaces by keeping heat from transferring through the roof deck. All homes are built differently and realized numbers will vary. Also, in the winter, ThermaSheet will keep heat from transferring out of the attic space, saving on heating.
Installing ThermaSheet is as cost-effective as upgrading to a higher-grade underlayment. Most underlayment upgrades are 20% or more than a standard #40 asphalt underlayment. In some cases, ThermaSheet is less expensive than the underlayment upgrade.
With decreases in attic temperatures as much as 40 to 50 degrees, your HVAC system will run less, be more efficient, and last longer. Depending on your utility provider, and your rate plan, you will need to compare your bill from the previous year to see the actual numbers. Homeowners that have installed ThermaSheet all agree that there is a noticeable difference in savings. As utility costs continue to rise, so will the savings.
ThermaSheet offers an excellent alternative to traditional solar systems. While solar installations involve ongoing costs and maintenance, ThermaSheet delivers 100% thermal coverage for your home, enhancing the longevity of your roof. By regulating attic temperatures—keeping it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter—ThermaSheet also contributes to real energy savings year-round.
